Alicia Deges

Alicia Deges

Executive Director

Alicia Deges has been with the WFSO since 2014 as Assistant Executive Director, assuming her position as Executive Director in 2019. Alicia brings an enthusiastic, insightful and community-focused presence to the organization. Alicia attended Texas Woman’s University where she received her B.S. in Music Therapy with a minor in Special Education. Prior to coming to Wichita Falls, Alicia worked in private practice as a Registered Music Therapist, with a special interest in Alzheimer’s disease. She moved to Wichita Falls in 1995 to assume her position as a staff music therapist, and then received the title of Director of Music Therapy at the North Texas State Hospital. Alicia has a passion for engaging with the community through exceptional music experiences and for providing educational opportunities for aspiring musicians in order to help them grow into future symphony lovers. Alicia is honored to have a position in Wichita Falls where she can make a difference in people’s lives through music. She is committed to furthering the mission of the WFSO to enrich lives, educate minds and entertain a diverse audience in the Texoma community.

Caroline Skeels

Caroline Skeels

Director of Operations & Education

Caroline Skeels started at the WFSO in September 2025.

With a love for classical music and the arts, Caroline graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Music (concentration in Viola) in May of 2024. She was accepted into the one-year Master of Science in Marketing program at Clemson University where she graduated in May 2025.

Caroline was raised on a farm in Georgetown, Texas with horses, goats, dogs, cats, and a donkey. She was an avid competitive Hunter/Jumper equestrian until moving to Denton, Texas to begin her music studies. In her free time, she loves practicing her viola, running, and keeping up with friends and family.

Chelsea McKee

Director of Marketing & Audience Development

Chelsea McKee started at the WFSO in July 2025.

A lifelong lover of performing arts with a background in PR, design, and content marketing, Chelsea brings a passion for storytelling and community connection to the WFSO. She’s previously worked with a range of creative and mission-driven organizations, helping them grow through strategic marketing and heartfelt content.

Originally from the DFW area, Chelsea left Texas to study marketing and entrepreneurship at the University of Missouri, yet recently relocated to Wichita Falls with her husband, young daughter, and two energetic dogs. When she‘s not planning our next big campaign, you might find her exploring local coffee shops, getting started on a new craft project, or testing a new cookie recipe. She’s thrilled to be part of WFSO‘s next chapter and can’t wait to connect with our vibrant community.

Wayne Bennett

Wayne Bennett

Librarian

Wayne Bennett has been a part of the WFSO for over 35 years. He is a Wichita Falls native and graduate of Hirschi H. S. and Midwestern State University. Wayne earned his BA and MA in trumpet performance and Music Education. He was Commander & Bandmaster of the 95th Division Army Band, retiring after serving 38 years. He was also employed by the WFISD as orchestra director at Hirschi HS and then as assistant band director at Rider HS. Wayne has served as the WFSO librarian and musician representive, as well as being an instrumental member of the Education Committee and the Search Committee & the Artistic Committee.

Ethan Rouse

Ethan Rouse

Personnel Manager

Ethan Rouse is a violist currently based in Frisco, TX, where he is in high demand as a performer and teacher. He is a graduate of the Royal College of Music, London, where he earned a Master of Performance degree as a student of Jonathan Barritt. He also holds a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of North Texas, where he studied with Susan Dubois and Daphne Gerling. An active orchestral musician, he performs regularly with a number of orchestras and is a member of the symphony orchestra of his native Wichita Falls, where he also serves as personnel manager. Equally at home in chamber music settings, he has performed at The Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace and at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Washington D.C. As a passionate practitioner of historical performance, he has performed with Ars Lyrica Houston, Ensemble Sylvatica at St. Martin in the Fields, London, at the Boston Early Music Festival, and toured Germany and Austria with the Fantasmi Baroque Ensemble. He studied baroque viola with Cynthia Roberts, and performs on an instrument made by Gabriel Bolioli.
