Volunteer opportunities
The WFSO Board of Directors oversees individual committees that facilitate all areas of running a symphony orchestra. You can be a part of the symphony family by giving your time as a committee member.
Please let us know where your areas of interest lie. Volunteers are needed for the following committees: Education, Fund Development and Community Engagement committees.
Concert night volunteers and ushers are essential to creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all attendees. Volunteers assist with greeting patrons, providing program information, guiding guests to their seats, and ensuring the smooth flow of the event. Join us and help making magic of live music come to life!
Volunteering at the Young People’s Concert or our Instrument Petting Zoo is a rewarding way to help introduce the excitement of the orchestra to students across the region. Volunteers assist with everything from event setup and registration to guiding groups of students and ensuring a smooth experience. By volunteering, you play a key role in making these educational programs a memorable experience for students.
Most concerts last approximately 90–120 minutes, including intermission.

The Annual Fund
You are the heart of WFSO!
The Annual Fund is the cornerstone of support for the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra. Each year, contributions to the Annual Fund provide essential operating support that allows us to present inspiring live performances, deliver impactful music education programs, and engage with our community beyond the concert hall. Ticket sales cover only a small portion of our expenses, the Annual Fund bridges the gap and ensures that the Symphony can continue to serve as a cultural leader in Wichita Falls and the surrounding Texoma region.
Gifts to the Annual Fund directly support everything from musician salaries and guest artist appearances to youth programs like the Young People’s Concert and our Artist-in-Residence initiative in local schools. By giving to the Annual Fund, you help preserve the rich tradition of orchestral music and make it accessible to audiences of all ages and backgrounds throughout the year.
