One of the evening’s most exciting moments features four of the WFSO’s principal wind players in Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante in E-flat major, a brilliant conversation between soloists and orchestra. The music concludes with Schubert’s “Unfinished” Symphony No. 8, a hauntingly beautiful work that continues to fascinate audiences nearly two centuries later.
